Editor’s note: This story, which concerned the date for Donald Trump's trial on charges that he mishandled classified documents and ran with the headline "Cannon surprises everyone with a 'rocket docket' for Trump's federal trial," has been removed. It incorrectly treated an order by the judge overseeing the case, Aileen Cannon, that set a trial date for Aug. 14 as having been issued on July 11 when it was in fact issued on June 20. More recent filings regarding the trial date, submitted by both prosecutors and Trump's attorneys, were responses to Cannon's order.
