Gov. Desantis Launches "Summer Time of Crime" to Catch Trump [1]

It is reported that, despite outward projections of confidence in their strategy of vituperative rage against “wokeism”, Gov. Desantis’ campaign huddled urgently, discussing the revamping of their strategy to catch former President Trump in the polls for the GOP primary.
One of the campaign strategists in the Desantis campaign was wildly waving a tracking poll from 538 in his hands as he lamented that the Governor had slipped from being virtually tied with Trump early in 2023 to falling 25 points behind the President in July 2023.
As they began to realize the key insight that the GOP faithful seemed to favor the former President more as his legal problems started to mount, including a couple of recent indictments and a few more pending, the Desantis campaign decided to fight fire with fire.
The campaign has just announced a Summer Time of Crime program in 2023 during which Desantis will embark on an overt and aggressive initiative to pursue and flaunt illegal activities including:
Sexually harassing new male and female immigrants before shipping them off to blue states as he’s already been doing for a year now;
Actively soliciting affairs with porn stars with offers of potentially illegal payments through every seedy web portal possible;
Retroactively harassing and threatening officials to interfere in the election of 2020 in Florida, even though the Governor won that contest handily;
Looking for Russian spies in the yellow pages and actively surrendering secrets to them;
Fill the Department of Justice inbox with confessions & suggestions of indictments they should bring against Desantis.
“This primary is not over by a long shot,” said a defiant Desantis campaign operative. “We’re getting a late start for sure, but the Governor is a fighter. We’ll see who’s ahead after a few months in which the Governor works hard to beat Trump at his own game — criminal indictments. ”
