Ukraine Moving Closer to NATO Membership? [1]

Two interesting new developments yesterday concerning potential Ukrainian membership in NATO ahead of the NATO Summit scheduled to begin in Vilnius, Lithuania this Tuesday (the 4th since Russia’s invasion last year):

Erdogan expressed support for Ukraine’s membership following talks with Zelenskiy in Turkey.

Lindsey Graham indicated he would be working with both Republican and Democratic Senators to pass a “Sense of the Senate” resolution backing NATO membership for Ukraine, which he thought would pass with overwhelming support — despite MAGA world’s apoplectic fit.

Even reliably Republican shill Marc Theissen at the Washington Post agrees that eventual NATO membership for Ukraine is now essential, and ironically it is now the Biden administration that seems most reluctant to press forward on this issue at this time, even though they have just approved the delivery of long sought but controversial cluster munitions to Ukraine.
