Former President Donald Trump says that Jack Smith looks like a crackhead to him. How would Donald Trump know what a crackhead looks like? If not for his experiences with his own son Don Jr. Fox News is obsessed with the cocaine found in the White House story. I don’t watch Fox News but see the thumbnails streamed on You Tube. Fox calls it, “the Ultimate cover up.”
The coke was found in west wing offices where someone is very upset with themselves for their own carelessness. It’s perfect story for Fox, they can cast aspersions all day long without the fear of a lawsuit. They can simply imply that the coke somehow belonged to Joe Biden, despite the hundreds of other employees in the building.
Appealing to the low IQ audience with scintillating accusations without the need using predictive logic. It is a situation very similar to the predicament former Vice President Mike Pence finds himself in. On January 6th Mike Pence did what he was Constitutionally obligated to do, and Republican voters have never forgiven him for it.
Pence was in Iowa for a meet and greet. Where he faced off with an angry voter who criticized him for not turning the election back to the states. Pence tried his best in vain to explain where his constitutional duty lay. His job was only to oversee the process. Pence explained the only possible remedies were in the courts or the states in question themselves. The court remedies had been tried and had failed. The states had sent their documents. And after patiently explaining the situation as it actually stood, Pence received a smattering of 7% applause.
Who remembers the elderly woman from the John McCain rally? Given the microphone she mumbles Obama is a Muslim. McCain did his level best to talk the woman down out of her tree unsuccessfully. And for McCain, it spelled doom after he said Obama was fine man and not a Muslim.
But the Iowan wanted Trump to win the election and believed the big lie because she wanted to believe, and she wanted Trump to win the election. (stomps foot) Why did she believe the big lie? Because it had been repeated ad nauseum on her favorite TV channel. “Dominion lawsuit? What’s that?”
These low IQ voters simply believe what they want to believe because they want to believe it. The Covid vaccine will change your DNA forever and make you magnetic! Mike Pence should have done what Donald Trump want him to do. Despite the law and despite the Constitution, he should have done it anyway. Never mind the cries of hang Mike Pence from outside. Never mind his life being in danger.
Funny story, guess who called to check on Mike Pence’s safety that day? Donald Trump? Nope. Kevin McCarthy? Nope. It was the villainous Nancy Pelosi.
Mike Pence should have flapped his arms and flown around the room if that’s what Trump had wanted him to do. Only information that fits the official cult narrative is allowed inside their craniums. All stories not in perfect alignment with the cult are discounted out of hand.
Little is said about the Trump document case because it’s hard to frame in a positive light. People have gone to prison for one or two documents and here are photos of a bathroom full of document boxes. The fallback says Trump can declassify anything just by thinking about it. He can do that! The Deep State and the Fake News media are persecuting him. You will never win an argument with these people armed only with facts.
Donald Trump the wealthy New York Real Estate developer living the city that never sleeps. Attending high-profile socialite parties in the 1970s never encountered cocaine himself. The man accused of grinding up Adderall would never snort cocaine.
You could feel the tension through the TV in that Iowa meet and greet. As the smattering of applause was drowned out by the silence of the cult. The seven percent wondering to themselves, what the fuck is wrong with these people and sensing doom because of it. The cult is inviolate and any who dare try to pierce its shield will be ground down on the lathe of heaven.
The situation forces Republican candidates to run against Trump without criticizing him too harshly. “Gee, maybe it’s time for someone else. Maybe the Party should go in a new direction.”
The Republican intelligentsia (I know that’s contradiction in terms) the big-money boys can hear the falls rapidly approaching. Donald Trump can’t win a national election, but he can win the Republican nomination. Leaving them in a doomsday scenario headed off in a mini sub looking for the Titanic.
Their only hope of dethroning Trump and his cult has failed due to its own incompetence. Ron DeSantis mimics Trump’s body movements. He talks like Trump only more so. He is Trump 2.0 but is as unlikable as a muddy wet dog.
Trump owns 33% of the Republican Party. That being said, 33% of the Republican Party automatically hate Ron DeSantis. How dare he run against Trump? The nerve! And Trump himself correctly labeled Ron DeSantis as having the personality of reheated tofu.
The DeSantis over reach has backfired spectacularly. Conventions planned in the sunshine state are being cancelled at an alarming rate as Florida is seen as a hostile environment. Florida won’t recognize driver’s licenses from five states. Guess who ain’t coming to Florida?
Winning elections is about negatives as much as positives. The Republicans hated Hillary Clinton more than Democrats loved her. Republican Thomas Dewey said all the right things but came off as an arrogant know it all. Harry Truman was Roosevelt’s hard-working, plain-speaking everyman. Truman didn’t defeat Dewey as much as Dewey defeated himself.
Trump’s campaign focus is on as would be expected Donald Trump. Look what they’re doing to me! That Jack Smith looks like a crackhead! Why don’t they arrest Joe Biden? The Trump campaign is untethered to reality. The DeSantis campaign is firmly hitched to hatemongering. It leaves the Republicans with high negatives absent any positive message.
All Joe Biden need do is smile and say, “I’m working hard for you!”
