Kitchen Table Kibitzing, July 7, 2023: This and That [1]

Having worked as a paralegal at a DC law firm for a number of years I can tell you that Friday afternoon is the traditional time for big filings to be made. Lawyers ruining the weekends of other lawyers is a thing — with bonus points for interrupting any vacation plans. I am drafting this in the middle of a sleepless night so I don’t know what the day will bring. We are in a period of swiftly breaking news, no doubt about it. More indictments will be coming, it’s just a matter of when. What might happen today???

In the meantime, I have a few gleanings from the internet for you — just random things that may pique your interest (especially if you like history).
