I was getting ready to post my usual rambling kind of diary, and then, I looked at the date, and said to myself, what I posted in my title: Is this a holiday? I guess so.
This is not my favorite holiday.
How did Canada gain independence from England?
They did not, technically.
A Canadian quarter had a picture of the Queen, for all of my adult lifetime.
Yet, for all practical purposes, Canada is independent of England, seems to me.
They have their own Parliament, and their own Prime Minister.
Seems to me, we could have done what Canada did.
But, enough ranting.
The most important topic for today, is the Florida Special Needs Family.
Today, seems to me, is their “Independence from the Old Landlord Day.”
I am visualizing them moving a hundred or more boxes into their new home today, with the two wheeled dolly. Maybe they should give it a name: “Dolly Parton.”
Ha!
I don’t do jokes often, but when I do, watch out!
The folks in charge of U-Haul should contact the folks in charge of helping Dolly Parton with her business deals, and, with her approval, make a deal, that for a certain fee, paid to Dolly Parton, U-Haul could put that name, Dolly Parton, on all their dollies. They could give me a cut, for thinking of the idea.
Ha!
When I am done with this diary, I plan to buy a few items at Walmart dot com.
Okay, I am typing this at about 9 PM on Monday. I just got done with my order at Walmart dot com.
I will not tell you how much money I spent. But, Tonia would tell me to go ahead and treat myself. She knew I was always reluctant to spend money on just me, and she warmly encouraged me to go ahead.
Some of the items will arrive this week, some items next week, and the last item should arrive by the 19th.
I have no special plans for my Independence Day holiday.
I need to water the tomatoes and cucumbers and habaneros.
