Backstory: living in Dublin, Ireland for the past 38 years. Left the States in 1979 to make my fortune (definitely with a small ‘f’) abroad. Much more Irish lore (interspersed with random malarkey that just pops into my head at the very last minute, of course) to follow in coming editions of Chess Puzzle Night, but for now will just leave you with this:
Myths and legends surrounding the Giant's Causeway
Oh. And as has become customary of late, the set-up for tonight’s puzzle:
FEN: 1B3Q2/4pB2/2p4b/7R/4p3/1Kp1p3/1nRPk3/1N2rNn1
BTW, I’m actually quite fond of the ‘big brownish chess puzzle diagram in the sky’ as invented by the venerable lobachevsky, so it stays for the time being.
