A Flying Squirrel Hears Footsteps, And Fakes His Own Death After Staging The Crime Scene. [1]

And now for something completely different!
A couple in Taoyuan, Taiwan found an injured flying squirrel, and spent the better part of two months nursing it to recovery.
The intention was, and is, to set ‘Bobo’ free once fully healed.
They may want to find him an agent instead, because what happened was out of an episode of Columbo.
In short, the squirrel got out of his cage in the kitchen, which it learned to do early on, and knocked over a broom
That caused someone in the next room to shout.
And then he heard the footsteps coming into the kitchen.
First, he crawls away before thinking about it, and then returned to grab the broom handle.
He then rolls over on his back, placed the handle across his stomach, and pretends to be trapped underneath.
Apparently thinking it can do a better job of staging a more convincing death scene, he then takes a moment to ponder.
He looks down and pulls the broom handle onto his upper neck, and, still prone, splays his arms and legs wide to appear as though he was the innocent victim of a fallen broom.
The CCTV in the kitchen caught it all.
Some things you just can’t make up.
