Whatado evraybody, whatado.
The drive back from WA3 was a bit better than the drive down with little to no construction, light traffic and overcast weather. I decided to try a different last leg for my journey and discovered that it was 20 miles shorter than what I had been driving. The only downside was a 10-minute cow pissing on a flat rock downpour where you couldn’t see the lane paint.
Grandson’s team got beat in their first game and he was the starting pitcher for the second. Between hitting two batters and the batters tagging his pitches he got the hook early. He didn’t get any time in the field other than that, but he did get a coupla hits and scored a run thru the 5 games. At this level, every player gets to bat whether they take the field or not. But they won game 2.
It was a double elimination tourney so that was a relief. Then they won their third game and holy pine tar they are in the Finals. There were only 5 teams. Othello was the defending champs and unbeaten, so they had to beat them twice in order to win, and they did. Alas Iago...
When and where they play next, I have no idea.
