Then, on the rest of the menu, Ron DeSantis and his political allies seek to have a federal lawsuit brought by Disney dismissed; seven groups of historians have now denounced a welcome reception at the Museum of the American Revolution for the “anti-government extremist hate group,” Moms for Liberty; and, Vice President Kamala Harris visited the Stonewall Inn national monument in a pointed rebuttal to the hundreds of anti- LGBTQ+ bills passed so far this year.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Mexico arrested the former head of a federal anti-kidnapping unit in connection with the disappearance of forty-three students in 2014; and, the first UN independent investigator to visit Guantanamo Bay said the thirty men held there are subject “to ongoing cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment under international law.”
