Then, on the rest of the menu, US honeybees just suffered their second deadliest year on record; librarians were trained to defend intellectual freedom and fight book bans at the American Library Association’s annual conference in Chicago; and, a union official testified that the safety of railroads has been compromised by job cuts and time constraints.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Greece’s conservative New Democracy party won a landslide election victory for its second four-year term; and, Mexico began imposing a fifty-percent tariff on white corn imports amid a trade dispute with the United States and Canada.
