Heya everybody, how was your weekend?

Me, I went for walks, listened to friends jazz jamming at a neighborhood joint, drank beer and martinis, watched baseball on tv, went to a run-through of a play my DD is working on, and then struggled through work today. One of these things is not like the other! Have I mentioned how much I'm looking forward to retiring in 2024?

I walked in the Pride Parade in SF yesterday. A friend started a group called Straights for Gay Rights or something like that, 30 or 40 years ago. The group walks in the parade every year, and this year I joined them. It was way fun. Ahead of us were about 40 people walking twice as many corgis. The cuteness! Behind us was a float of Native Two Spirit people. My first time taking part, I hadn't even watched the parade in years. It was so joyful and so humbling. Thousands and thousands of people were lining the street cheering and yelling, and thanking us for being allies. Yet I risked nothing to be there. It practically moved me to tears. Anyway it was a fun experience, walking down the street with hundreds of thousands of people cheering us on!

Waiting at our staging area, ahead of us I sighted our Rep. speaking with her minions.

Later I read Adam Schiff was there too. Good pics of the festivities.
