Pringles had to take a deal because Wagner would have been smoked if they'd attacked Moscow. [1]

Moscow is a city of 12 million, it’s the 24th largest city in the world, around the population of Los Angeles. I don’t think there is anybody serving in any military in the world who has experience doing urban warfare on a scale that size.

Wagner is less than 25k men, they have trouble taking tiny UA towns where they’re allowed to do unlimited warfare. They can’t bomb the city and can’t soften it up with cruise missiles.

It’s pretty obvious why Pringles had to take a deal once a massive civilian uprising failed to materialize. Not sure if he’ll get killed now or not. But he definitely would have gotten killed if he’d tried to take a city that size.
