So what are Putin’s options?
Please keep the following fact in mind as you go thru my predictions. I could not pick the winner in a one horse race. Sad but true! By making the following the guesses on Putin’s possible moves I will negate them coming into fruition.
Putin uses a tactical nuke on the Wagner force. He wipes out the threat knowing NATO will cry foul but nothing more. Go ahead and beat yourself up but keep it within your borders.
Putin blasts Ukraine with nuke to deflect from his internal problems. I read an unverified story that Lukashenko has fled Belarus. Jumped on his private jet, turned off the transponder and headed for somewhere. What does he know? Probably just reading the writing on the wall.
Putin not only blasts Ukraine but bordering NATO countries as his last hurrah and a middle finger to the West! He knows NATO will not respond in kind.
So those are the worse case scenarios I have come up with. My track record dictates that by posting them they will not come to pass, but we all know what is said about a cornered animal.
OH CRAP! I think I just jinxed the whole premise!!!
As a secondary observation, I can’t believe what I see as the apathy of the general Russian population, before/during and now!
