I’m sure you’ve all heard of Jasmine Lipscomb. The Democrat who stepped up to run in Virginia’s 49th HD, only to have barriers thrown up to block her by the local party. As it stands now, there is a Republican running unopposed in the district because Jasmine didn’t stand on one foot, wearing the right shade of pink, juggling bags of coins, long enough, or whatever.
There have been at least 10 different diaries written about it here on Daily Kos, by 6 different authors.
