While I wish her well, and understand why if she resigned now McConnell would block her replacement from being seated, our hope now is that her staff can help her stay on task enough for Biden’s objectives to be met (such as judicial appointments). She’s been my County Supervisor, Mayor, and Senator, but I wish she had not run for reelection.

Now, if someone can get Durbin and the other old time Democrats to understand that the Republicans are not going to play by the genteel comity ways of last century and that stern letters aren’t going to do squat, we might still have a chance. Asking the GQP politely to please stop trying to overthrow the government just won’t cut it.
