Trump continues to claim that he had the right to keep all the documents he took from the White House while president, because (insert “Today’s Magical Reasoning” here).
But...lets take a minute to assume that Trump *did* have the right to declassify — then keep in his own possession in an unsecured location — boxes and boxes and boxes of toilet paper national security documents. That he had the absolute right to do it, and that he did “nothing wrong”.
Why would anybody vote for such a man to be president (again)?
Why would we want a president that has no regard for keeping our important national secrets classified and secure?
How does the act of declassifying hundreds of sensitive national secrets keep America safe?
What purpose is served by Trump doing such a thing?
If the way he handled documents is illegal, he should be held legally accountable for it. But on the other hand, if he had the legal right to declassify and keep/store the documents the way he did, he has no business being the person in charge of keeping America’s secrets safe.
Hey Trump Lovers — I want to hear your spin on this.
