It served honorably and will be remembered well.

Russia created a Tank Bomb by packing an ancient tank with 6 tons of explosives and sending it toward the Ukrainian lines with the driver jumping out and letting it continue on its own.
Unfortunately for them it went kaboom way too early.
x #Ukraine The Russian Army sent a T-54/55 VBIED filled with 6 tonnes of TNT at AFU lines near Marinka, Donetsk Oblast.
The attempt failed as the remotely-controlled bomb ran into a mine 100m from the front line, and was then hit by a Ukrainian RPG shot, causing a huge explosion. pic.twitter.com/sXXI57wV7v — Cᴀʟɪʙʀᴇ Oʙsᴄᴜʀᴀ (@CalibreObscura) June 18, 2023
It was pretty crude, but if it had gotten through it would have killed many. What Russia failed to do was send one or two other vehicles ahead of the Tank Bomb as sacrificial lambs to clear some of the mines to give the tank bomb a better chance of making it.
x A video of @benweideman then me discussing the Russian T55 packed with explosives. Pack a tank with explosives, have a volunteer drive it, then jump off after pointing it toward the enemy. What a stupid way to conduct armored operations by the Russians.

Russia, of course, claims the attack was a roaring success.
In a post on its Telegram channel over the weekend, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that an uncrewed tank was used successfully to destroy a Ukrainian stronghold. The ministry stated that the tank had been filled with “about 3.5 tons of TNT and five FAB-100 bombs” that were detonated by remote control. The FAB-100 is an air-dropped bomb weighing around 220 pounds. The same Telegram post included quotes from a Russian tank commander, with the callsign “Bernaul,” who, it is said, was responsible for executing the attack. “About 300 meters [980 feet] away from the enemy, the tank operator put the vehicle on manual gas, directing it [to the enemy’s] direction. He jumped out and went to the rear. I stayed behind to observe, and after the vehicle approached the enemy’s positions, I detonated it by radio control,” the Bernaul said.
