BARR validates year-old argument: "find 11,780 votes" was about disqualifying Biden votes [1]

On January 2, 2021, during his infamous call with Brad Raffensperger, Trump said:

“All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have because we won the state.”

Last year, I wrote a story In Raffensperger call, Trump hoped to disqualify Biden votes laying out my argument that, in this quote, Trump was asking the Georgia Secretary of State to find enough Biden votes in “corrupt” Fulton County to disqualify.

Today, on CBS’s Face the Nation, Robert Costa asked former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr about the “find 11,780 votes” quote (beginning at 7:12 in clip). Here’s what Barr, said:

“There are innocent interpretations of what [Trump] said, you know, which is look, of all the votes which we think are bad, you certainly can find among them some that are slam dunk...”

I disagree with Barr that is would be an innocent interpretation, but it is the correct interpretation.
