Sure, it’s National Arraignment Day, but that’s not happening until, you know, after the show. So who cares? Besides, we should be — or should have been — more concerned about child labor. Or labour. Or how to spell it.

Or perhaps our real concern should be with more basic child welfare. Because MAGA has infected Canada, and now we have creepy grandma and grandpa duos sexually harassing 9-year-old school girls, because freedoms. Soorry, eh?

Today, we spent a little time talking about how bad assigning TFG’s case to Judge Aileen Cannon could be. But because crazy judges can just… do whatever… there’s no way of knowing how far off the rails we might go. And it’s not like the crazy stops with the judges. (As though that were somehow a comforting thought!) It’s all over the Gop mainstream. And if you stop to call it out when you see it, you become the next target.

One comforting note: there was a surprise win for voting rights in the SCOTUS, recently. Better still, Joan McCarter came on to discuss it! And if there’s still any room for improvement here, check out her theory that it might just be public pressure that’s behind the victory.

Want one more pleasant turn of the karmic wheel before you go? The House Ethics Committee is now free to reopen the investigation into Matt Gaetz. And they actually did it!
