Aileen Cannon Is Unlikely To Preside Over Trump's Criminal Trial For Violating The Espionage Act... [1]

Thursday, before Trump’s indictment was even handed down; when the potentiality that Judge Aileen Cannon could be appointed to oversee the case; I replied:
After the smack down the appeals court hit her with in the special master ruling she should be forced to recuse.
I stand by that statement and reasserted it last night:
Aileen Cannon will not be the presiding judge in this case. If she doesn't recuse herself on her own the DOJ will file a motion requesting she do so. If she refuses, they will appeal again and win again.
In a comment this morning, I briefly explained my reasoning:
She straight up ignored the law when she exercised jurisdiction the first time around. If that doesn’t demonstrate bias, I don’t know what does.
For over two years now I’ve been trying to reassure y’all that Merrick Garland has this situation well under control, that getting a conviction takes a great deal of planning, and these things take time. When Judge Aileen Cannon appointed a Special Master last year, I broke down her ruling for ya and explained why I thought it would fail.
Here we are, the day before the #FPOTUS is arraigned, and I’m seeing comments asserting the fix is in and some of you think the DOJ is incompetent. So, let me explain to you why I think Judge Cannon will recuse herself.
She fucked up, she knows she fucked up, everybody knows she fucked up, and the 11th Appellate Court told her straight out that she fucked up…
Imagine if she hadn’t unlawfully exercised jurisdiction last year… She’d be sitting pretty right now. Nobody’d be the wiser regarding her Trump leanings. She could have her thumb on the outcome of the biggest case in American history and no one would be the wiser.
That’s not how it went down though. She really stepped in it when she showed her inclinations in front of the entire world. Do you understand now how badly she fucked up? There ain’t no scraping that off your shoe… She would have to be the dumbest person on the planet to risk her cushy job by trying her shenanigans again.
We all already know that she’s not really good at her job. Even if she went forward and tried her best to oversee proper justice in this case, the odds of her making more mistakes is extremely likely. That would lead to her rulings being overturned again, leading to more questions about her fitness for the bench.
Would you take that risk when all you had to do was bow out? When bowing out would partially restore your reputation and credibility. When you might actually be praised and maybe even cheered for doing so? It’s a no-brainer...
If not tomorrow then very soon we’re going to find out just how dumb this woman is. If she’s got any sense of self preservation she’ll recuse herself. If not, she’ll end up going down in flames.
