Can Anyone Please Explain What Is Happening With The Weather in Southern California? [1]

I try to follow the news, but I have not seen any news about the very, very strange weather we have been having in Southern California throughout 2023. We had record-breaking rainfall earlier this year, and ever since the rain stopped we have been having unusually cloudy and cool days. I do not remember a single day when it has actually been hot.
I am not complaining about having temperate weather. I am complaining about having STRANGE weather without any news coverage that I have seen. I realize that I have it much better than people up North who have to breathe yellow air due to the wildfires in Canada. I hope I do not sound like a completely privileged, pampered jerk. The weather in Southern California is quite comfortable. BUT IT IS VERY, VERY STRANGE! And anything that is this strange cannot help but be a little discomforting.
I have tried to search the internet for anything to explain the very odd weather in Southern California, and I cannot find anything. Nobody even seems to be discussing it.
Can anybody help me out here and let me know if there is an explanation for what is going on?
