Merrick Garland and Jack Smith. Not a Lion. A Leopard. [1]

In the novel Sea Fighter by author James H. Cobb (1953-2014) General Belewa was discussing the heroine of the story CAPT Amanda Garrett with his Chief of Staff Brigadier Atiba. Atiba was not taking the threat of CAPT Garrett seriously because Garret was “a woman.” Belewa thought otherwise:
“She makes me think of the Lion and the Leopard.” “The lion and the leopard?” Atiba inquired puzzled? Belewa turned to his Chief of Staff. “When the Lion Hunts, he stands tall and lifts his head to roar at the sky, announcing to all the world he is going out to seek his prey. When the leopard hunts, she lies still in the tall grass, so silent and so unmoving that you might almost step on her before he know she is there. Does this make the leopard more of a coward and less of a danger? It does not. For the leopard is is very patient. She waits and watches and chooses a moment that belongs only for her for the attack. She offers no warning. She gives no chance. She shows no mercy.”
Since our former President left office in ‘21 it has been an article of faith among The Village (and sadly some Progressive’s) that the investigation of D****d T***P was either taking too long or would never result in any Federal Charge’s.
Garland likely won’t indict Trump Earl Ofari Hutchinson | December 28th 2022
..from a legal standpoint, there is no reason Trump cannot or should not be indicted on any of several violations...The reason he likely will not be is not the law or the Constitution...It is Trump’s die-hard popularity with millions and the political danger a prosecution brings. Garland well knows that.
Well Mr. Hutchinson here’s the deal (as President Biden would say), Merrick Brian Garland and John L. “Jack” Smith are quiet professionals who say what they mean and mean what they say. Case in point:
Garland says the only pressure DOJ feels on January 6 probes is to ‘do the right thing’ Tierney Sneed By Published 2:53 PM EDT, Fri April 1, 2022
“The only pressure I feel, and the only pressure that our line prosecutors feel, is to do the right thing. That means we follow the facts and the law, wherever they may lead,” Garland said at a news conference Friday, where he was announcing new charges in an unrelated gun trafficking case.
One year later the leader and followers of 2 separate fascist organizations (Oath Keepers and Proud Boys) were indicted and convicted by the Garland DOJ.
The Orange POS thought he was invincible, and that by declaring he was running for President the Justice Department would not touch him less they be accused of “Politicization.” He did not realize he was dealing with a leopard, not a lion (see Durham, John). Since the Special Prosecutor Jack Smith was first appointed by AG Garland in NOV 2022 I have heard him comment on his investigation only once, and that was today. When the announcement finally came that Don the Con would finally be held accountable for the first time in his 76 years of crimin it came like a bolt of lightening. Garland and Smith issued no prior statements, leaked no information and desired no publicity.
And unlike "Cover up" General Barr they actually care about the law.
