There is a federal grand jury investigating Trump in Florida [1]

The NYTimes (www.nytimes.com/...) has reported that Jack Smith also has a federal grand jury hearing testimony in Florida. The reasons for another grand jury are not clear, but speculation runs to:
Smith is considering indicting individuals who don’t have any connection to D.C., such as Mar-a-Lago employees and Trump lawyers whose unlawful acts occurred exclusively in Florida. Maybe he wants to indict them to spur them to turn on Trump.
Smith thinks that proper venue for a trial of Trump is in Florida. This could be, for example, because Trump’s obstructive behavior occurred in Florida. It is possible that Trump could be indicted in both D.C. (which is where he was when he unlawfully took national security documents and other presidential records from the White House) and Florida (for obstruction).
If Smith wants to indict Trump in Florida, the Florida grand jury does not have to actually hear the witnesses who testified to the D.C. grand jury. Their testimony can be presented by means of transcripts (or even a summary of prior testimony).
Another strange turn in the effort to bring Trump and his co-felons to justice.
