Astrud Gilberto, 'The Girl from Ipanema' singer, dies at 83.

God I remember this song being released. Me and about 50 million other young men in the USA fell instantly in love.

Fare the well Astrud.

you opened my eyes to there being an entire world outside of the midwest USA. My first time thinking about international travel as a young man was about going to Brazil after I heard you sing. you opened me up to so many possibilities. Thank you.
