Then, on the rest of the menu, the outcry over a recycling plant next to a historic Watts high school appears to finally gain traction; the Temecula Valley, California school board voted to leave over 11,000 students without a history textbook because it mentioned Harvey Milk; and, the California attorney general accused Florida of “state-sanctioned kidnapping” for trafficking over a dozen asylum seekers to Sacramento.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where an award-winning Hong Kong journalist won an appeal in a rare court ruling upholding media freedom in the territory; and, hundreds of thousands of people marched in an anti-government protest in Warsaw, Poland, to show support for democracy.
