Whenever I see a peace proposal for Ukraine like this one:

Part of me wishes our Ambassador would publicly thank Indonesia in advance for letting us know what they will be willing to accept should we find it desirable to seize and annex a portion of their country, say Bali, to protect expat Americans living there.

That's ultimately what this war is about. A blunt reminder of how vulnerable countries would be to a US completely unrestrained by the current rules based order might be useful.

I mean we've been bad enough within those constraints. Do leaders like this one really want their nations to live in a world where there are no retraints whatsoever?
