Biden signs debt ceiling bill [1]

It’s all over but the cheering.

If you’re on Social Security, you’re getting your check on time.

If you’re in the military or otherwise a government employee, you’re getting your check on time.

If you sold something to the government, you’re getting paid on time.

If you’re borrowing money on an adjustable interest loan, your rates aren’t going to triple overnight.

If you have money in a money market fund, the entire value of the fund isn’t going to collapse overnight. (Most money market funds are very heavily invest in US treasury bonds.)

If you live in the US during the next two years, you aren’t going to have to go through the hell of arguing about whether the US will pay its debts during that time.
