I'm not giving up despite the unrelenting bad news.

The manatees are starving, bees can’t build their hives.

The war in Ukraine has taken thousands of lives.

Hungry and frightened people keep crossing our boarders.

Republicans won’t compromise …them’s Speaker McCarthy’s orders.

A sad anniversary happened in Uvalde Texas.

Oh there are so many things that legitimately vex us!

We may feel that is healthiest to just turn away

from the terrible things that are happening each day.

Well, I may be a news junkie who is simply obsessing

But I think ignoring reality makes things more depressing.

Boycott Florida, donate to progressive who can win....

But do nothing? I think that’s really a sin.
