The Global South is a term that often appears in discussions of the US-China-Russia confrontation, usually as it relates to the UN. The following article by Ukraine Ambassador to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky goes into a detailed explanation of what the Global South is and why it matters to Ukraine.

After reading the article, his explanation appears to have a much broader significance in post Ukraine Conflict geopolitics. The article as a high density of international politics and economics that are clearly destined for center stage as China and the US compete for influence in what is likely to be a bipolar world, China+-US+.
