FOX NEWS LIES EXPOSED
A recent report on the Chris Hayes “All In” program, May 22, 2023 on MSNBC, focused on another set of lies at FOX news. Here is a link to his broadcast.
The story centered around the eviction of veterans from a hotel in order to give their rooms to migrants to the US seeking asylum. Sounds horrible, right? But it was all a lie.
A company bribed homeless people in New York with dinner and alcohol and a promise of $200 each (not delivered) to tell the story that they were veterans and evicted from their hotel room to make room for asylum seeking migrants. This story ran heavily last week on Fox all last week, including on Laura Ingram’s program.
In fact, it was reported that Fox had verified the validity of the story. It seems that their notion of validity falls far short of determining what is true. Since none of the story was true. The fake story was repeated into the Congressional record by SenatorTodd Young of Indiana (R). It is a disinformation spread to increase public anger at migrants and alleged liberals and none of it is true.
At the end of the week she identified the story as fake news. Too late because it already was in the public sphere for so long. She offered no apology as if that mattered.

I am your constituent in [ zipcode] and I am fed up with FOX NEWS disinformation and lies polluting public political discourse. In a democracy we are supposed to share ideas and come to a consensus or compromise about how to fix our problems. FOX NEWS is antithetical to that idea. There is one simple solution and that is to hold the Fox Corp. and its talking heads accountable by taking away the company’s broadcast licenses, which are in the hands of the government. Those licenses are supposed to be a privilege and in the public’s interest. I want you contact Jessica Rosenworcel, Chairwoman of the FCC, and pressure her to cancel all Fox Corporation broadcast licenses in the US because they choose to not operate in the public interest. Thank you.
