Quick Ghana Update- Four Year Old Anabel has the Measles [1]

This is probably more a bulletin than an update. But briefly….
Some time ago, in Ghana, then three-year old Anabel was abandoned by her mentally ill mother. She was brought to my friend John, who arranged for her to stay in a home for young children whose parents cannot otherwise care for them and we have been paying for her to be sheltered there since then.
John sent me a short message late yesterday that Anabel has the measles. He included several pictures. I am using one above. I hope it isn’t too upsetting, though I guess it is really relatively mild as such things go. Her lips are obviously affected and John said she has sores in her mouth and is having trouble swallowing.
He asked for money to take her to the hospital but I simply do not have it until sometime this coming week. I have been trying to work something out so that I can help but I just can’t figure out a way. Sometimes an immediate response in a crisis is simply not possible.
I know Anabel has her own followers and fans here so I thought everyone should know.
Hopefully she will be okay until I can get help to her.
