Hello, my fluffy ducklings, back yet again, still haven't shut up— you'd think I'd learn. Actually, I think I have learned to detect when some online conversation has gone south.

Um, did you notice that I posted a whole cavalcade of salient points for your consideration? No? Not even going to acknowledge my effort at communicating? You're just going to restate the minor point that I'd taken issue with and attempted to refute— then clamber atop your soapbox and preach to the converted. Can you hear me from up there? Okay then, I'll just step back and give you room to rant. The condescension was not strictly necessary, but I understand— I can't take myself seriously, why should you?

Ever have an encounter that left you feeling like that? Some people just seem to need a bone to chew on. I exposed a juicy length of shinbone to someone who had been triggered by a rather heavyweight diary a few days ago. Only slightly gnawed and sticky, I return to post another of my little open threads. This week, I've got another long walk to share. A long walk is just what I need with this odd feeling hanging over me. Someone, living with a great deal of pain and anger, decided that I was just another example of what was wrong in this wretched broken world. I'm left worried about them and ashamed that my impotence in that situation is what keeps playing across my mind. Practically everyone else had moved on, the exchange more-or-less ignored. Yet I haven't moved on, my original impulse of trying to clear up a misunderstanding still clatters along like a wind-up tin mouse.

I guess I'm just waiting for it to wind-down.

Ah, forgive my blathering, please. Clatter, clatter, clatter …

It's been a busy week in the Werelynx household. Mrs the Werelynx's brother and his children have been in town this week visiting and perhaps I'll have a few photos to share next week. For now though, I need to go on a long, long walk ...
