The Durham Hoax Needs to be Investigated [1]

Keith Olbermann said it perfectly in a tweet from last October when Durham failed to get convictions on the measly two indictments he managed to bring to trial: “Now it's time to see if John Durham's "investigation" was legally conducted, if he behaved ethically, and if he and others remaining from Trump's DOJ should be prosecuted.”
Durham’s final report concluded that the FBI should never have opened the Trump/Russia investigation in the first place, it was done too hastily, it was based on uncorroborated evidence and the FBI was suckered by people with political agendas.
So, what should be concluded about the Durham investigation? Answer: it should never have been opened in the first place, it was done to avenge Trump, it was based on uncorroborated evidence and the American people were suckered by people with political agendas.
There was already an extensive investigation into allegations of misconduct re the Russia investigation — the Inspector General report on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation — which found that there was an “authorized purpose” and “adequate factual predication” for launching the investigation. Also, the review did not find evidence that “political bias or improper motivation” influenced the investigation. The bi-partisan, Republican led Senate Intelligence Committee report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election came to the same conclusions.
AG Barr, of course, rejected the report’s conclusions. He said that it was launched on the “thinnest of suspicions” that were “insufficient to justify the steps taken”. So, on the thinnest of his own suspicions, Barr launched an insufficiently justified review of the origins of the Russia investigation. Trump repeated endlessly that the Russia investigation was a “hoax” and a “witch hunt”. The right wing media declared that Durham’s investigation would unmask the Deep State villains and put Hillary and Obama behind bars. Not even close. And some very questionable behavior has come to light about this Barr/Durham investigation. You could say it was a hoax and a witch hunt and needs to be investigated.
