Canby Oregon School Board election positive results [1]

The right wing movement to take over local government and school boards reached Canby Oregon. Three candidates, two incumbents, ran a joint campaign. Red signs with their names. Their main goal was banning books from school. Use of a wedge issue has been a hallmark of the right.

For a while it looked there would be no opposition, but candidates showed up, campaigning independently, promising to work for the betterment of the schools and outcomes of students.

Two owned agricultural related businesses and the third is a retired school teacher.

Canby is a conservative, Republican town and the outcome was in doubt, at least in my mind. But I am more than ever ok living as a liberal in a conservative town, as the three book banners were crushed. When information and good candidates are on the ballot, good things can happen.
