Based on a very real email that I just got.
BREAKING NEWS — I’ll spare you the all caps for the rest, but there is huge news — the former President got arrested! By New York District Attorney Alan Bragg! This SuperPAC is sure that I have not heard about this, so they had to email me and tell me. Republicans resort to racist attacks on the aforementioned New York DA, so the SuperPac is urging me to sign their petition — they need 25,000 signatures from Democrats, or else it won’t have enough of an impact, obviously. Please, true democrat cminus, we have just 24,998 signatures — won’t you sign and tell the world that you, too, stand with Alex Bragg? Then tell your significant other, and push us over the finish line!
We will then proceed to store your email address, so that you can be reliably informed about the urgent need for $3 by candidates from sea to shining sea — doesn’t that sound appealing?
Seriously, they got Bragg’s first name wrong twice, out of four times they mention him. One of the sloppiest fundraising emails I have ever seen.
