Turn Off the Spotlight On Trump [1]

The media has not learned a damn thing from covering Trump in the past. A malignant narcissist to the Nth degree, Trump doesn’t care if he gets good coverage or bad coverage… he just wants free coverage! The red light on the camera triggers the bullcrap to spew forth and any single moderator will be crushed beneath the deluge of lies he tells. It's imperative to have multiple moderators engage verbally with slippery-tongued Trump and someone with their finger on the video button ready to show all his “classics,” from the “pussy” tape and his abortion views to his loving-hearted followers crushing Capitol police on January 6th. Watching him deal with reality in real time could be very enlightening!

If CNN was really serious about hosting Trump for the good of the country, there would have been a large chunk of Democrats and Independents in the audience, not just the MAGA faithful. For instance, it’s doubtful the non-GOPers would tolerate hearing that it’s OK to hit the debt ceiling since Biden is the president and Trump isn’t… that’s not good for our country whoever is the president! What would Trump have done in the face of a chorus of BOOs? That would have made actual news!

In a sense, it is unconstitutional for any media outlet to give Donald Trump a platform to speak to the public because whatever he says is equivalent to screaming “FIRE!!!” in the theater of our democracy! So, stop it, CNN! Stop it, Twitter! And everyone stop showing clips of Trump talking... the mere sound of his voice can incite a riot!

The only benefit that can come from giving Trump an unfiltered microphone is that he reveals his true beliefs on air much to the delight of those preparing to indict him. I guess that’s good news.
