Long time lurker, first time posting an article.

It probably won’t do much good, but it felt good to get it off my chest.

Anderson Cooper said we shouldn't stay in our silos. In some cases, he's right. In the case of giving a forum to a man found guilty of sexual assault who essentially plotted a coup, Mr. Cooper is 100% wrong. The first 3 letters of the business you're in (a word that is part of your business name) spell "new". Can something be "news" if it isn't new? In instances where new information comes to light, yes, let us leave our silos. Was anything new revealed in the Wednesday night debacle? No. Same lies; same misogyny; same utter lack of class. You had a chance to choose basic human decency over the pursuit of ratings, and you chose wrong. You spat in the face of every woman who has been assaulted and every person (like myself) who swore an oath to uphold the constitution. I am a U.S. Army veteran, a parent, and I have a professional job. Going forward, if I enter an establishment and I see CNN on the screen, I will let them know I don't do business with an enterprise that supports an organization that gives free air time to seditionist sex offenders. If I am looking for stories on YouTube and I see the video originates from your network, I will not click. The same goes for news article links, etc. Congratulations on the ratings you pulled in for your town hall, but be aware that going forward, you will never be able to count my attention in whatever metrics reflect who's watching. That sad attempt to justify your choice from Anderson Cooper was the end. You have lost me forever.
