Then, on the rest of the menu, the Justice Department has reached a settlement with a New Jersey county over language barriers for Spanish-speaking voters; a New Hampshire utility has proposed a transmission line from Canada to carry renewable power to New England; and, officials in a remote northeastern Oregon county have voted to give tax breaks worth an estimated $1 billion to Amazon for five more data centers there.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Spain plans to ban outdoor work during periods of extreme heat; and, Tunisian authorities cannot figure out what a National Guardsman’s motive was to kill two jewish pilgrims and then three security officers who were protecting one of the world’s oldest synagogues.
