Venturing Out: How To Get To Netroots Nation (Fundraising Diary) [1]

For the first time since COVID I’m actually going to travel — to Netroots Nation in Chicago — this summer. I didn’t go last year because I knew of many people who came home with COVID after traveling, and I’m high risk. So I need to raise money for airfare — or maybe someone has frequent flyer miles to spare? I don’t have money for the airfare, but can manage ground transportation, parking, and such other travel expenses. I live on Social Security and most of my COVID money has gone for yard work, car repairs and my first ever presecription eyeglasses and sunglasses (since they really help for driving).
The airfares from Tucson to Chicago range from $400 to $500 roundtrip on Expedia. A nonstop flight was pretty much in the middle of that range.
