Only one. We don’t get to play games about that fact. We don’t get to push third party candidates this time.
I don't care if people like Biden, Harris, or Democrats. Period. They better damn care about democracy, about the sanctity of their own minds, about their children being able to go to school and live, about their right to vote, about their right to worship or not as they see fit, about their right to enjoy a parade or pick up tonight’s dinner at the supermarket safely, to get the health care they need, to be paid what they are worth, to be free to dream and hope.
The list goes on. This is not about “politics.”
It is about survival. It’s about a far better future for our children’s children — or none at all.
We don’t get to prioritize anything over that fact except defeating Trump and the GOP.
Last night’s gathering of Incels and Nazis cheering on their demigod at CNN’s townhall should have been no surprise to anyone. Reality cannot be ignored anymore. Far too much is at stake.
Lives are at stake, including the lives of those we love. Including our own. That should be obvious by now.
I did not watch the townhall. The response to it on twitter and elsewhere was horrifying enough.
Then I saw President Biden’s tweets.

Could not make a donation fast enough. It helped wash away some of the uncleanness, the disgust, from what that Townhall put on display for all to see. Toxic people make us all sick. And those are the people who support Trump.

We cannot, must not, allow them to win. Everything depends upon that. Decency. Honesty. Accountability. Justice. Freedom. Integrity. Caring. The right to just be.
Everything.
Thank god good people outnumber the incels and nazis. But outnumbering them does no good if we don’t stand up, if we don’t come together and fight back in every possible way.
It’s a beautiful day out there which I need rather badly after last night. So here I am this morning struggling to find the balance while my mind keeps repeating that we have one political party fighting to save us from a terrorist organization led by Trump. Only one.
I’ve been repeated that reality a lot this morning because it needs to be said, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us. Our momentary discomfort now will be nothing in comparison to how we will be if we don’t stop Trump and his enablers.
