Shortly after lunchtime on 11 May, the UK Defence Minister Ben Wallace announced that Ukraine would be given long range Storm Shadow missiles.

“The donation of these weapons systems gives the Ukrainians the best chance to defend themselves against Russia’s continued brutality, especially the deliberate targeting of Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, which is against international law,” Wallace said.

As the afternoon progressed, “will provide” changed to “has delivered”.

Britain has delivered multiple Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine, UK defence secretary Ben Wallace has announced, boosting Kyiv’s defensive capability as it prepares to launch a counter-offensive against Russian forces.

This basically means that no part of occupied Ukraine is safe for Russians.
