Last night's Town Hall starring Donald Trump was nothing more than an audience packed with his fanatical supporters, who laughed and jeered on cue at every insult Trump hurled at his critics. The host, although she tried to keep Trump on track, couldn't get an intelligent response to any of her questions. When she tried to correct his outright lies, he talked over her with frequent interruptions and called her "a very nasty person". He answered questions on energy problems with "Drill, Baby, Drill". It's painfully evident that DJT cannot answer one on one questions or participate in a debate. His only talent is to be able to make speeches at a podium without having to separate fact from fiction.
His sentences were incomplete, off-track and led me to wonder if he was suffering from some type of mental dementia or incapacity to think clearly, especially when he kept repeating the same things over and over again, resembling someone in the first stages of Alzheimer's. Trump would sidestep, deviate from the original question and launch into his tirades about the country on the verge of annihilation and how he had the greatest economy when he had the power. He ranted and raved about aborting and murdering full term babies, how he built the Wall (nothing said about Mexico not paying for it), how he never even knew E. Jean Carroll (despite the fact that he identified her as his ex-wife Marla in a photograph), and added a dose of " Witch Hunt", "fake news" into the mix. Trump also bragged that if he were president again, the war in the Ukraine would be over in 24 hours (is he planning on delivering U.S. arms support to the Russians?) He proudly reminded the group that he was responsible for the splendid tax cuts but neglected to say that they mostly benefit the top 1% , the country's billionaires and has contributed to our current debt default crisis. And, he evidently is planning on pardons for those with January 6th criminal convictions
