Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party [India-BJP] is rasing this spectre once again.
The Aryans are not a race, simple, if anything at all it's a geographical location within Iran’s [=The land of the Aryans] current borders.
Arya simply means a respectable and noble person.
The myth is that the Aryans arose in Northern India and then went on to civilize the world.
The BJP seems to have photocopied Nazi mythology/propaganda.
The Arabic word Hindu means simply from India.
Modi govt looks to rewrite Indian history to justify Hindu nationalism
Eric Hobswam has pointed out ‘History is to Nationalism, what poppy is to an opium addict!’ Sectarian nationalism always wants to take its history as back as possible to strengthen its claim of exclusive control over the land.
Especially when you pick and choose, then just blatantly make things up to justify your divisiveness.
