Let’s peek in on the fauna of Europe, especially the efforts to conserve and rewild them.

The Russian desman is a member of the mole family but is semi-aquatic like a muskrat.

Over 20% of EU territory is protected areas. The Bern Convention is written to protect biodiversity. Some highly successful efforts have been made at rewilding. Rewilding Europe is a nonprofit organization working in multiple countries to increase wildlife and natural landscapes.
