Ground-launched variant of the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS)
Each of these vehicles equipped with the capability of shoot & scoot, shoot-on-the-run precision rockets as far as 6.5 miles down range? Imagine what the Ukrainians can and will do with it.
With the reported arrival and on-going training of this system by the Ukrainians, one could certainly envision a very fast moving 'rootin', tootin', shootin' support for a spearhead break through … with or without attack fighter aircraft support over head.
And the relatively low cost of the APKWS(approx. $22,000 per?) makes this highly accurate and effective rocket system cost effective … meaning the US could continue to send boat loads of it as the Ukrainians get jiggy with their counteroffensive. The pinpoint precision and speed of the ground launch APKWS is definitely not your garden variety scatter shot Russian GRAD rocket system.
