He charged a line of cops on January 6th and got his ass kicked on the spot...

x Here’s MPD releasing Robert Dennis (aka #UnholyGoalie) so he could seek medical care after he assaulted police officers on Jan. 6. Dude’s more than a little delusional...

Raw Story

“Dennis, who is white, told FBI agents who questioned him at his home in July 2021 that after he charged at the police line, he was subjected to a “Rodney King moment where he was beaten and sprayed by officers,” according to court records. King, a Black man, was beaten by Los Angeles police officers in 1991 in an incident caught on video.” Dennis also told the agents he drove to the Trump rally in Washington D.C. because “he was waiting for the ‘Kraken to be released,” a federal prosecutor stated in a legal filing. And Dennis was quoted as telling agents “God knew why he went and that going was the righteous thing to do,” the Morning News reported. In the end, however, the judge found Dennis guilty of two counts of assaulting, resisting or impeding officers; two counts related to engaging in violence at the Capitol; one count of civil disorder; and one count of entering restricted grounds, court records show.

He’s getting a dose of reality now...

Department of Justice

A Texas man was found guilty in the District of Columbia today of felony and misdemeanor charges for his actions during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the presidential election. Robert Wayne Dennis, 63, of Garland, TX, was found guilty of civil disorder, two counts of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers, all felonies, and three misdemeanor charges, including: engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; and act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings. The verdict followed a bench trial before U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg, who scheduled sentencing for April 13, 2023. According to evidence presented at trial, Dennis was captured on video on Jan. 6 near the stairs to the Upper West Terrace of the Capitol. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department formed a police line to act as a barrier against the crowd. While law enforcement officers were attempting to control the crowd, numerous people began charging and striking them, including Dennis. At approximately 2:51 p.m., Dennis charged the line of officers. One officer, identified in court documents as “Officer J.S.,” attempted to use a baton to push him away. Dennis then grabbed “Officer CW’s” baton and took “Officer J.S.” to the ground after a violent struggle in which he threw punches at the officer. During the struggle, the baton belonging to “Officer J.S.” was knocked out of his hands. Dennis was also charged with assaulting “Officer CW.” Dennis was arrested on October 20, 2021, in Texas.

Dennis’ Facebook profile said he’s a senior restoration artist at Comic Art Restoration Service, which “provides restoration and reproduction for original comic book art.” He studied visual communication at Truman State University and art at Crowder College, according to Facebook. A website linked to his Facebook account indicates that Dennis produces advertising graphics and designs such as logos and signage as well as original art and photography. “My background in the graphic arts, as well as my knowledge of the comic book field, enables me to take a less than desirable piece of original art and transform it … into a product that displays all of the merits that the work was originally intended to present,” the website says.
