I’m still not going to comment on it, since other people are covering it very nicely on the site.
It’s a tad nippy here. Not actually that cold, but it’s getting to late spring and should be a bit warmer by now. I’ve turned the heat back on.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

It’s been a slow week. The biggest excitement early on was finding out that the neighbor who used to work with my daughter will be walking dogs at the time and will pick my grandson up after tennis on Tuesdays.
I got my ballot on Tuesday, filled it out and turned it in at the Elections Office drop-box after dropping my grandson at school Wednesday morning. I got home and checked my email, which I hadn’t had time for before having to leave — I found a notice that my ballot had been mailed to me.
One of my deliveries this week included some gluten-free breakfast cookies. I don’t need gluten-free, but they’re made with oats and I like oats. The chocolate chip coconut ones are nice; so are the ginger ones — really gingery.
Thursday morning included a brief thunderstorm. Also, the rest of the day it rained.
Thursday evening I got a couple of books for my Kindle that I had pre-ordered as soon as I saw they were available. Old as the Hills by Celia Lake — the adventures of a married couple early in WW2, involving magic and the actual history of the war. All in a Name by Honor Raconteur — the ninth in The Case Files of Henri Davenforth. I have all of the previous books in both series.
Friday was breaking down delivery boxes for recycling and getting my trash together. O frabjous day!
My grandson came over Saturday morning and took out my trash and recycling.

Love you guys!
