Mochinut and a Hot Dog
My sister and I were coming home Tuesday from the desert and stopped for lunch at a Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop in a mall. Next door to it was a place called Mochinut. We had no idea about what that meant.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

The sign said “More than just a donut” and they were shaped in a circle of what looked like donut holes and then there were pictures of what looked like hot dogs on a stick but we could not reconcile those two food items in one shop.
We noticed as we ate our sandwiches that everyone who came out of Jersey Mike’s when into Mochinut and came out with boxes, so we had to check it out.

Mochinut is a popular brand of Mochi donuts.
Our main menus are Mochi Donuts, Korean Rice Flour Hotdogs, Bubble Tea Drinks and Soft Serve.
I do not know what a Korean Rice Flour Hotdog is but I assume that is the breading. I did not get one but I did get a donut and it was good, but different.
It was denser and not as sweet and had a little dab of flavored cream in the middle of each ball. It was good but I wouldn’t go out of my way for one. I was glad to try it.
