Imagine a real leader taking the reins
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a straight-talking scion of our most celebrated political family, is running for president. Despite a corporate media wet blanket trying to suffocate his campaign, his poll numbers are soaring as word spreads on social media. The information gatekeepers at NYT and ABC-etcetera, dismiss Kennedy is a vaccine opponent, but the truth is more complex. Having led the campaign to clean up Hudson River in New York State, RFK, Jr. has studied the toxic effects of mercury on fish, and humans. This led him to question the wisdom of using mercury as a preservative in childhood vaccines — a worry never resolved but buried - and more broadly to question how our vaccines are approved. As regulators like CDC have become increasingly privatized, they’ve turned into companies, where the regulators can profit from the drugs they approve for Big Pharma. With the unholy alliance between corporate drug pushers and the media (try to find a news show that isn’t sponsored by a drug company), we never see critical analysis of vaccines — for example their success in blind trials against placebos, and are told to take them on blind faith. Or else.
RFK, Jr., who’s father and uncle must be smiling, questions why we are fighting a proxy war in Ukraine on the Russian border. His son, by the way, volunteered to fight for Ukraine, and reports that our war coverage is propaganda. A few years back, RFK, Jr. wrote an essay about his Uncle Jack’s tangle with the CIA, which in 1963 was screaming for wars in Vietnam and Cuba. That Kennedy resisted on both fronts and his brains were blown out in Dallas. Then the patsy was killed to avoid a trial, and the hitman, a known mafia errand boy, got deathly sick but gave one interview before dying. Famed reporter, Dorothy Kilgallen, said she had the scoop of her life, but suddenly she decided to kill herself one night after appearing on What’s My Line, and her Ruby notes disappeared.
RFK, Jr.’s father picked up the peace banner in 1968, trying to extricate us from Vietnam. He suffered the same fate as his brother; I would argue likely at the same hands.
Some people just don’t like peace. Those with a vested interest in war.
These Kennedys are rare leaders and it’s with great hope and appreciation that I watch this one come to the fore. With the world aligning against us, the dollar in decline, trains crashing from neglected infrastructure, climate change worsening in war, Arctic drilling, inequality ever growing, life expectancy shrinking, this may be our last chance to put it right.
Let’s avoid the lesser-of-two-evils trap; vote for peace and justice. Kennedy.
